About

A creative space guided by expertise.

POLS began in 2015 as a place where music develops with intention. It replaces and continues the work started under the name 1618 Records, now with an identity focused on one idea: the pulse of your sound.

Our story

Ten years of listening closely.

Since2015, POLS has specialized in mixing and mastering, supporting artists from Puerto Rico and beyond.

The studio was built around a simple practice: listen carefully to the material, understand what it needs, and execute with precision.

Every project arrives at a different stage. Some are an idea recorded on a phone; others are complete sessions ready to mix. The process adapts to that reality.

Behind the sound

Christian Acevedo

Christian Acevedo is the producer and engineer behind POLS. His approach combines creative collaboration, critical listening, and technical execution.

He works directly with each artist throughout the process, from the initial conversation to final file delivery.

The goal is not to impose a single sonic formula. It is to understand the music’s intention and build the sound around it.

Principles

How we make decisions.

Intention first

Before touching a fader, we understand what the song wants to say and who it speaks to.

Technique in service of the music

Tools exist to support the idea, never to replace it.

An honest process

Timelines, scope, and pricing are clearly communicated before work begins.

A pulse for every project

We do not apply a one-size-fits-all sonic formula: we build the sound around each work.

Your music comes first.

Artistic judgment

Every decision takes the project’s intention, identity, and emotion into account.

Technical precision

We use professional tools and a detailed process to deliver reliable results.

Genuine collaboration

The process adapts to the needs of each artist, song, and creative stage.

Direct communication

You work directly with the person responsible for developing and delivering the project.

Ready-to-use deliverables

Final files are organized according to the service and their intended use.
